Durham Toffee
Shameless Wool
He was knackered, to be fair.Class.
Lost his way a little towards the end but the game was won.
Good lad.
His first touch had gone by 75 mins.

Yes the comment was meant as no attack on Ross. However I'm not sure he'll ever be a regular number 8. I think Davies will be that man.
Completely agree what I like most about Davies & to be fair barkley has it too is that they wants the ball when they are being marked closely & both are excellent at retaining possession under pressure. It's not a particularly English trait & something usually associated with continental playersHe tired second half, but looked majestic first half. Especially his one touch play. I have said this for a while, and it's no attack on Ross at all, but Davies will be the player we wanted Barkley to be. That all action number 8. I think Ross may well be the better play, and more destructive in and around the box, but Davies has the maturity to play deeper as well.

they have different styles that could unlock deep sitting defences, Davies with quick sharp and accurate first touches, Barkley with his head down can bludgeon his way through. Was good to see them both playing well today. Davies has more confidence about his play that give him a swaggerHe tired second half, but looked majestic first half. Especially his one touch play. Why not just sub the Mystro Davies with another youngster ?I was about to type the same ! He's played a lot of football for an 18 year old, at a much higher level and pace than he's experienced before, so it's no surprise he's looking tired as the games progress.
He was ace for 60/70 minutes but, if Morgan hadn't just come back from injury, he'd likely have been subbed.
Ideally we'd give him a rest some time, but with McCarthy being crocked and Besic not involved yet it's hard to see how we can rest him much. Barry might start against Burnley next week though.
