I think my favorite part was Baines' celebration on Davies' goal.

I was about to type the same ! He's played a lot of football for an 18 year old, at a much higher level and pace than he's experienced before, so it's no surprise he's looking tired as the games progress.

He was ace for 60/70 minutes but, if Morgan hadn't just come back from injury, he'd likely have been subbed.

Ideally we'd give him a rest some time, but with McCarthy being crocked and Besic not involved yet it's hard to see how we can rest him much. Barry might start against Burnley next week though.

I thought he was absolutely spent on Tuesday and I wouldn't have been surprised if he had been given a breather today ( not dropped but just rested because he's now just a given in the first 11 )

For him to put in such an effort today I thought was absolutely ridiculous. There's just nothing better than seeing a local lad getting a chance and grabbing it with both hands and both feet and curly hair as well.

Tbf the whole team looked made up for him, couldn't have blamed Kev if he was a touch miffed as he was fouled in the lead up but he also had a huge grin on his face.

Utilising all these psychological positivity metrics we can now deduce that Rom is currently somewhere between "content" and "happy".

I've never thought he and Jags were all that close (what the heck do I know about it) but when they held their foreheads together and were talking, that was a heartwarming moment.
