He is a kid. He is our kid...he is ace but might still make mistakes as he might at 28....he is ours, Frankly I love ...yeah i said LOVE Tom Davies. He has class and snide and is a blue....what else matters here.

He's ruined it for the other 18 year olds. I was reading up on Beni Baningame, who came in for some hype late last year as one for the future. The I realized he was 18 and thought, "hell Davies is already an every week starter, Baningame is so far behind...".

The fact that he's not a Rooney or an Owen, or a comparable teenager who is so much more obviously a prodigy makes it difficult to view the other teenagers fairly. He just gets it. He understands how to be a top drawer professional footballer.

Baningime looks a prospect ...true, Tom getting the nod should only encourage the other young midfielders to try harder not discourage them. The fact that an 18 year old has managed to push his way into the first team to the degree that we really couldnt imagine him not being picked says volumes. Keep plying your trade, try your very hardest ...if your good enough you will get a chance is all I want our club to promote for the future. Anyways i agree with what your saying but if you want in the 1st team..you have to grasp it with every part. I hope this lad has it too

I have high hopes for Beni as well, it's just that Davies has made it look so easy, it's hard to remember it's not normally this easy for anyone, let alone an 18 year old.

Introducing Davies and maybe Holgate would be my suggestion, as they'll never get their chance otherwise, and they'll bring that hunger, energy and spark we are sadly lacking now.

In a months time, we're going to be wondering wtf we didn't have him in our starting eleven from the beginning of the season. He's done really well when he's come on so far - showed great energy, attitude and skill. He's let nobody down, and has shown he's ready - ahead of all our central midfielders with the exception of Gana.

*cough... Called it back in mid November when we were struggling. The lad is nothing short of excellent.

Just not good enough unfortunately.

In a months time he wont even be in Evertons first team squad.

He's the next Ledson.

Supporters don't actually know much about what it takes to be a top flight footballer unfortunately.

Lads?

There is absolutely no way that any manager (and certainly Koeman) would have two 18 yo in the same midfield. So effectively, the likes of Williams, Walsh, Beningame etc will have to wait on Davies getting time out injured or suspended before they get a look in.

Cracking little player and is benefiting from the fan base not expecting him to be the new *insert star midfielder of choice*, because that has certainly had an impact on Barkley's development, Davies has come from nowhere and is a hard working player not so much a luxury flair player and so he's not hyped beyond reasonable expectation.

Agree with this 100%. Not much was said of him unlike Barkley who was talked of when he was just a kid, like you and others have said not a luxury player but already looks a vital part of the team. Won't be long before Sky are trying to sell him...
