You were the first to mention his uncle was Alan Whittle way back when and at the time I foolishly thought "oh must be Graham Whittle's son , who played in a successful Wrexham team" . I guess there must be a sister involved or is it the non Whittle side?. Goes to show though the disparity you can get in brothers as per you're post, Graham was a pretty decent footballer with a terrific shot but never reached Alan's heights.....whilst Tom is negotiating a long-term contract that could virtually make him financially secure for life, I understand his older brother has just been released by Tranmere. The highs and lows of football encapsulated in one household but the boys appear to come from a good family who will look after them both as they go forward.

...I think Tom's mum is Alan Whittle's sister. Tom's dad was actually in my gym this morning, I think I heard him say Tom was in Korea playing for England but I might have that wrong.
Big plus is his debut was against Southampton so Koeman seen first hand the talent he hasLooking forward to see what Koeman does with this fella,I haven't felt this excited about a player for a long time.

Why loan him out he did enough for me to start on the bench and be introduced that way if he gets on and plays the way he did then he keeps his place let's not loan young talented prospects out to be wasted if your good enough you play in our team end of picking names who's shunts around our midfield, thinking they are good enough!Needs a one-season loan at a smaller Premier League club to aid his professional development before he moves on to bigger and better things with Everton.
I'm thinking Southampton as a possible.
