We've had a few false prophets in recent years, but I really think this lad could be the one. Universal praise, and I'm not sure I've heard a single 'but' about him yet.

Haven't been able to see him in action yet, but I'm looking forward to the season starting.

Seen him play right back in the pre-season friendly at Barnsley and he was playing some lovely balls down the wing into the runs of del. Ala Terry Darracott style (if your old enough to remember him). He didn't even look out of place at right back but it was only Barnsley.

The lad is obviously class & I wanted him brought on today, but that's class management from Koeman. Had he brought him on & Spurs scored, could have knocked the kid's confidence & put his development back.


I think we'll see plenty of Davies this season, even if we do sign 4 more.

Agreed. I don't think this was the right game to ease him in. There was too much pressure, especially at Goodison Park. I think it would be best to play him in an away fixture where there is less pressure.

was thinking about him in the match as well. Get the kid a good loan, he won't play much this season but i think he's good enough, even at prem level already. Have we ever loaned a player to another prem league club before?
