Looked great last season, but maybe as with some kids he needs a rocket as they think they have already made it,I've seen him four/five times this season for the ressies and however bad the first team are he has done nothing to warrant a place in the first team,Davies on the other hand has been superb.

Watched him a coup!e of times mate don't think he's good enough or ready needs to be himself out on loan somewhere.

The reason I say interesting is that this time last season there were people saying the exact same a lot are saying about Davies, but about Dowell.

It's just so risky putting this kid in. Especially in the next two games.

difference being though mate is that davies has actually already been involved in prem games and not looked out of his depth, its not just based on under 23 form that was the case with dowell

whats the worst that can actually happen, we lose? we will do that currently with no kids playing, least wed see a bit of passion

I really think he is running out of options, the crowd need a "lift"as in the main we are as low as a snakes belly at the moment, these two games could make the kid.

They could also ruin him putting him into an already poor side.

I have to make this clear, I'm not saying that will happen. I'm saying it might happen and is worth considering.

Alternatively sometimes when a player is ready holding off on putting them in can see that window close forever mate, Garbutt aroudn the time of the Wolfsburg game - maybe should have signalle dhim coming in the team proper, but instead we held off, loaned him out etc and now a player we where desperate to not lose on a free will likely sit here for his contract before being released on a free and going to a championship or league 2 team

Over cautiousness will wreck a young player just as much as throwing them in when not ready

I don't think so mate, the crowd in the short term would be with the kid, even if he had a stinker, worst case scenario he goes back in the reserves to learn his trade.

As I say the postive side could well happen.

The crowd would get a lift for sure seeing him on the team sheet.

But as soon as he gives it away I could see it al going back to the norm.

Spot on. I can't think of any other country where giving kids a chance is such a big problem. Take for example BVB top of the German league, point in Madrid. 3-4 teenagers regularly in their starting line up. Good enough = old enough

Your right mate it is,but I think Davies is worth a try unless the manager is seeing something were are not which is a possibility, but after today I think his hand will be forced and you could take a choice of who he comes in for Barry or mccarthy.

To be honest at this point I'm not sure anything will make any difference. But that's just me!

Feel like that myself mate, all l want a the minute is to see us play a bit of football but more important is a will to win from the manager and the players, and look like you don't care.
