Well the way I see it Baines did himself no favours when he spoke in the media prior to the world cup. He's better than Warnock, but then the best players don't always play for their country do they?

Wasn't Rodwell injured when Gibbs played? Rodwell will play for England, he will get over 50 caps, dead cert.

No he wasn't, he was playing for the u21's. Explain that? Capello has probably never left the hotel suite in London that the FA so lavishly furnish him with.

wakey wakey mate. If its not a bias, its still a presumption that players of the non sky 4, plus city and spurs, are really not worth considering.

ok mate whatever you say. England are anti-Everton. like the world are anti-merseyside. Oh well.

the FA are yes. Capello is yes. But there are quality players who play for England, and quality players who are upcoming also. It's whether or not they are allowed to flourish.

Exactly.

But with the top tier as it is, they really can't flourish that much. Isn't 33% of the players playing in the Prem starting 11s are English? Not good.

But Kevin Davies is? strange.

No it isn't good, but liberals will tell you that it's fine to let average foreigners take British jobs, but then to say that you are clearly a racist bigot. So no point in going any further.

Well would you support Everton if they had a team full of crap? Or is just Gerrard and Johnson? or Rooney? What does it matter?

It's not that they're crap, it's that there's so many utter knobs. Players who are just terrible professionals. And of course, Ashley Cole. Someone who's said he hates England and England fans. And yet he's the first choice LB? Shameful. If an Everton player said that about Everton, I'd want them banned from going anywhere near my team.

If you've got national pride, then great, but surely you want the players out there wearing the shirt to exhibit just a morsel of the same pride? The Scottish ones do, the Irish ones do (NI and Roi), the Welsh do and so on. The English don't, and besides maybe the French, they're the worst offenders in the world for it.

You missed the point entirely.

The entire set up is immoral. The players selected contractually is immoral. The culture of the entire England set up is immoral. A ridiculous majority of the players themselves are immoral.

That said, I wouldn't advocate not supporting them, or belittling anyone who does.

Someone who's said he hates England and England fans. And yet he's the first choice LB? Shameful. If an Everton player said that about Everton, I'd want them banned from going anywhere near my team.

Of course I do, but I'm not picking the England team mate. Ashley Cole is a tit, but he once felt the warmth of Cheryl Cole's inside, and he jibbed it, so for me he will always be missing something from his life, and that gives me comfort.

Thanks mate, but it gives others a sense of achievement to do so.

I actually think the whole immoral sense of football is not just centred around England. It's the whole Premier league, the whole of Europe, the Americas and all these diving footballers all over. That's just the way the sport is, so I'm not going to be hypocritical and criticise players who are from the same seed as the players who turn out for Everton week in week out.

I dont think anyone can argue with that.

As much as I laughed at that (which was a lot), you're still skirting the issue; my point. He shouldn't be anywhere near the team, and to find it hard to support England because of things like this, is surely understandable?

Well he's in the team mate because he's one of the best left backs in the world. Quite simply.

He is mate, but it's immoral imo. He is, and keeping him is too -- as much as it is spineless. And hence when I think of supporting England, I feel a bit sickly. I want nothing to do with that national team, at this point in its history.

And for more reasons, too. You may not believe there's an anti-Everton bias, but I believe there's a lot of media control and sky 4/city bias. Far too much, in fact. And as always they'd rather see global brands on the field like Wayne Rooney (despite his awful form, off the field antics etc) on the pitch than say... Darren Bent -- someone in form, eager to impress.
