@leonbil - Wayne Rooney is an exceptional footballer and his talent is something kids should look up to. But if your talking about Wayne Rooney the man, then yes he's a tit. But his footballing abilities can't be questioned, and up until the last 9 months he's been immense.

This isn't twitter lad. Use the quote function you ted.

Well, the word is being used here in the context of football. It's a trivial point, immoral loosely means optionally choosing to go against social morality. So assault, adultery are immoral. "But, but, but - they're not as immoral as genocide", but they're still, immoral.

Anyway, the point was, a collective will to win a football match is no doubt adversely impacted by the type of people in that England set up. Top to bottom.

When was the last time England had a good manager? Strange that.

A good manager for England, or a good manager for England?

Sven was a good manager, rubbish for England. McLaren has proven to be a very good manager, rubbish for England. Capello the same.....and so on.

Bobby Robson or El Tel were the last two good England managers for England

After that performance, the one thing without a doubt I can say is his footballing abilities can be questioned. i don't doubt the innate pool of inner resources and potential he has to draw on. just, where is it at the moment? Looked like a player that needed to be dropped.

Why should kids look up to him though? Really? You can get much better at football if you work your arse off at it, dedicate your life to it. But unless you have a decent reservoir of god given skill and certain amount of natural atheleticism your f*cked.
Which is not to say you shouldn't admire the skill he has. I occasionally watch snooker, and really admire the natural ability of Ronnie O'Sullivan. Not gonna look up to him. Not going to find out how he conducts his life so I can model mine or any of my offsprings on his.

I'd sooner kids look up to Nobel Prize winners in Peace, Science, Literature.

But I suppose that's horribly high brow.

He's having a bad time, and if people can step away from the "cry baby he ****ed us over" thing, then we can look at the situation objectively. Wayne Rooney is the best English player in the country, who is having a bad time, yes it's his own fault, yes he's an absolute tit of a lad, but his footballing skills are something that people should look up to. His ability to find space, to drive at defenders, to shoot on sight. That's what I'm talking about, not evident at the moment, but nobody can deny that it didn't happen these past 6 years.

Fact is, if he hadn't had left for Man U, but still behaved like a tool, he wouldn't get none of the criticism from Evertonians. Now would he?

At the moment I've no football related criticism for him, just for anyone who chooses to play him. He clearly needs a kick up the arse and sorting out (dropping, basically), because he's embarrassing himself out there.

Bobby Robson or El Tel were the last two good England managers for England Hahaha. They were screaming for Robson out and Venables wasn't all that, he was just media friendly the corrupt old tw*t.

See above.
