Matthew would you mind telling us what you were doing and where you were between the hours of 3pm and 5pm yesterday?

You look awful similar to this chap.

Osman is ready to snide you

....yep, he hasn't got the talent to be a regular top league full back but regardless it should not have stopped him scoring a goal. He can kick a ball, he's got a fair dig on him and he never once scored a goal.

Not seen any evidence of this tbh. As an attacking full back he's always been poor.

Probably but he's had about 10 goes at Anfield already and all his hard work didn't get us very far.

There was another 10 players out there as well with him in those Derbies, I would put my house on it that he gave everything in those games though.

He may not have been any good at getting forward, but he was paid to defend, and in his prime there weren't many better right - backs out there in the prem.

You never heard him whinge, he just got his head down and got on with it.

...he played in midfield for that successful youth team we had. In an FA Youth Cup game against Man Utd at Gigg Lane he hit an absolute screamer, unstoppable in the top corner. I was asked by a lower league manager to recommend any young players that Everton might release and I said Tony Hibbert is a midfielder but more likely a full back if he makes it as a pro.

In my mind I can still see that goal he scored it was truly memorable.

I am defending him, I think he has been a good player for Everton, but let's not get carried away. He was a steady Premier League full back. Played a lot of games and had a sound career.

Yearh He started out a midfielder mate

The fact were even discussing Hibbert playing his first game of the season in the Derby and possibly Semi Final is a final nail in the coffin for me.

He should have been done two years ago.

He always needs about half a dozen games to regain a level of sharpness IMHO,would still give us his all though however fit he is,something which has been sadly lacking this season.
