Not arsed if we're not 'the peoples club' any more, that term is pure cringe and is the kind of vague meaningless nonsense you'd expect a kopite to come out with. It's a bs feel good term Moyes coined with the sole intention of getting fans on his side.

"oh we're der peoples club la'

CRINGE CRINGE CRINGE

The familiar atmosphere he curated turned is into a consistent top 6 side. Ok, a with a couple of 7th-placed trophies too.

Since he left the last two seasons have been bottom-half. Something we haven't done since the Walter Smith days.

I've bolded the bit which is actually important for the players when at a club. It's not bullshit when it works.

The term people's club has nothing to do with this though, it's a ridiculous term... If kopites used it we'd mock them no end for it, it's self congratulatory bs, especially when the honest truth of the matter is that there are just as many Liverpool fans in Liverpool as Everton fans.

Agree with almost everything you say, not to sure over jagielka though

If anything Hibbert should look at what he has been paid by Everton over all these years. At best a mediocre RB who give a average 6/10 over his career. If I was him I would look at the house Ihe ives the cars He drives and more importantly his bank balance and the life he has been able to lead because of Everton. He should be then thanking Everton for all of this and then offering his service to Everton to undertake work in the community.....give something back to the supporters
Will he do all this, not a chance as the poor little soul feels big bad Everton have let him down and cheated him out of saying goodbye
I am over the moon he has gone, he has milked this club for to many years now and we are better without him
I'd never have expected that from Hibbert. As you say, a journeyman player who should just thank his lucky stars he and his (extended) family will never have to worry about finances again.

He seems to think that because he never kicked up a fuss in order to push for a wage increase (from fantastic riches for most of us to even more fantastic riches) then he deserves a pat on the back and a sit down with the chairman to explain the incredible decision to let him go.

These people, almost without exception, are unreal.

I don't think any of us were really arsed with that corny tag to be honest though it certainly wound the RS up so in turn amused me. Weve got nothing to prove regards the community or "people" - the club does more than most Premier Clubs socially be it in schools/charities - everything that EITC stands for. Its a cheap shot from Tony referring back to that however, and dilutes support a bit for any beef hes got with the club. He should think about talented pros who had to pack the game in early...they used to get buttons, or if they were lucky, any job on the staff. Others like poor Mick Buckley drank to blot out the scrapheap. There but for the grace of God lad.....count your blessings and reflect on just how good the club was to you.

Hibbert has some neck

He wasn't too worried about the people's club when he sat on his arse collecting paychecks

How he got a new contract last time I don't know

Another moment of genius brought to you Bobby Martinez

Brass neck mate.

Its a joke. He was a bang average footballer at best and acts like he was world class and indispensable to the club. Despite only playing about 20 games in 5 years.

Unbelievable neck on him.

He's barely kicked a ball (more than likely out of touch) in anger in the past 3 seasons. Meaning £ per minute, his earnings are going to be huge. He's had use of the clubs training facilities. It wouldn't surprise me if this has been put out 'there' because it's slightly controversial and that will get him the headlines that may result in him getting a club. Good luck to him and good luck to the striker waiting for a good ball in.

We are not a charity 35k three year contract where he played how many games?
The way it was done may have been incorrect yet Osman has not made a scene like this a slight moan.
We sent Coleman out on loan when he should have gone striaght in our team - after that Wembley cup final v Chelsea his position should have been under threat then IMO,

Personally i feel if what Hibbert has said about what happened to him and Ossie is true its not right in any way shape or form. Players should know if they are getting a contract renewal or not and not find out via the club website. I think he is so angry due to his love for the club. Granted we were right to release them but in a more proper and formal way. Limited in ability but heart of a lion, We should remember that before slagging him off. 11 on the field with his ethos and blue blood would always, Win, lose or draw give 110%.

Glad to see you back Dave.;)

Spot on about Hibbo. Cannot reemploy every ex player so what makes him think he is different. Tony stick to your carp fishing.
