I certainly think I’d be less frustrated if we had lost to the big teams and beaten the teams we’d normally expect to beat at home but it’s been a strange old season all round. The frustration is probably compounded by West Ham going so well.

Next season will be massive for sure. If we can nick a Europa league place at least we’ll have that to offer prospective signings.

Your last paragraph I'm taking issue with. The type of player you suggest we could attract with the lure of Europa League participation, are more of the same we've already got. What I think I'm trying to say is only until we qualify top four can we attract the gold standard players we need, Europa not.

Its going to be interesting to see how West Ham do if Noble is out along with Rice.

Weve had Allan and Doucoure out which has ruined our midfield.

In theory, i think we need 19pts. Doesnt matter where we get them from, whether thats Brighton or Man City.

We do need to start winning games again and those 2pts dropped against Palace need to inspire the team to finish teams off.

If we beat Brighton then id back us to take 4pts+ off Spurs and Arsenal. That would have us needing 12pts from 6 games.
 
Its getting exciting for some. City, Man Utd, Chelsea are certs, then I hope West Ham rather than Leicester for Davey's sake. Catastrophe for the RS not being at the top table and playing endless games in Europa on Thursdays and Sundays. Can't wait for the krauts complaints about the number of European games in Europa League.
 
7th spot at best after RS and WHU's results you feel (with our current form).

Can only see us finishing above Spurs which is nervy considering we have them up next weekend. They also have the League Cup final in which a win in that and they take 7th's European spot anyway so going to need them to slip up quite a bit if we are to sneak into it.
 
We in a mini league for 7th now with Spurs, Arsenal, Villa and Leeds. Which should get Europe if City beat Spurs in league cup final, which you’d bet on them doing.

We have to play Villa twice and Spurs and Arsenal. Can’t be losing any of them if we want it.

Never write Jose off in the cups bloke knows how to win a final.

City worry me as when they aint fully at it they can be one dimensional and haven't that option of going more direct as it were.

Said all season one of Spurs or Arsenal will sneak into europe via the cup route totally undeserved.

Nah not for me. It’s Spurs isn’t it. They are worse than us for bottling it
 
Great opportunity for top 4 this season but the combo of injuries and just not showing up has put that to bed

I think we could get 7th, Spurs are bad, and honestly the RS have been very poor since Xmas, who knows they might go on another slide

Build and move to next season ( sneaky feeling West Ham will poo the bed next year)

If we went on a run of form like the first seven games of the season then we could finish very high. But we have been so inconsistent since the early part of the season the chances of that are remote.

First things first, we have to get a win tomorrow by hook or by crook.
 
So, if we win our 2 games in hand (big if) we go 6th, one point behind Chelsea and 2 behind West Ham. Unfortunately we all know it wont happen. Please prove me wrong ffs.
