It's just braindead decisions all over the place.
Two in particular in the two games from experience players. Young knows full well he is going to get a red card, which is theoretically far worse than the chance of a player scoring one on one. (OK, in Young's case it might not be, but I doubt that he thinks that.)
Then Pickford trying to set up his non-wonderful long balls rather than just whacking it when he sees he is being closed down by one of the fastest PL players.

Dixon's been alright in defence, tbf. In the youth games, he tends to run into blind alleys when he goes forward, and he had one of those. But decent debut.

At least the half time show here showed a wholesome moment - Gary Taylor-Fletcher talking about dedicating his most important game for Blackpool vs the RS to his best mate who passed away before the game, Evertonian and ex-teammate Richard Butcher.

Might not be the accepted narrative but I thought Michael Keane wasn’t our worst player that half. He’s made a couple of important interceptions and decent passes out.

Tarkowski, worryingly, looking really out of sorts again. Perhaps it will all change if / when Branthwaite is back.
Tarks is on one leg basically, he shouldn’t be playing
