Having a quick read through here not sure what match many were watching.

Pretty close to the complete away performance if you ask me. If Osman had put his chance away just after Mirellas ' goal we'd have come away 3 or 4 - 1.

Proud of us today, many Spurs fans thought we should have won also.

When you play against a team that can make 6 changes, use 3 subs and have 20 players on loan then the Fer deal does,nt make a lick of difference.

One sub was 6 years old, another was Tom Huddlestone and the third didn't happen.

True, given Oviedo can play left-back/left-midfield and is quicker! Then Osman could have been put back in the middle where he belongs.

Yeeah, I don't understand why Oviedo doesn't get more game time, every time I've seen him playing on the wings he's done a good job. Perhaps there is a reason why but from what I've seen on the pitch it leaves me scratching my head a bit.

Spurs were so high up the pitch at the end, if we had had the legs there were numerous opportunities where we gained the ball back and had advantage in numbers going forward, had numerous chances similar to that of Man City game at the end, strange how we couldn't take advantage today. Had this fixture been at the beginning of the year the result would have been taken more kindly I think

Relatively fair assessment esk. We created enough to win, a shame we couldn't hold out. Still very much in touch of teams in contention with a game in hand.

Is right.

I find the idea that we "bottled it" mystifying. It's the go-to phrase whenever we fail to win. Sure, sometimes it's true, but what about the bottle we showed to come back from 1-0 down after 30 secs away from home in a massive game and lead until the last few minutes? No one wants to talk about that. We were unlucky not to win in many aspects today and I echo these sentiments. I'm proud of the team and really quite excited about Mirallas.

We're looking nailed on to put a FULL STRENGTH FIRST TEAM (shock horror) out against QPR next week ffs! There's plenty of cause for optimism yet.

Draw away to Spurs is typically a decent result, however in the circumstances it's a big blow. We needed three points and were in a position to take three points. When you're trying to make up ground in the table, draws aren't much help. Them getting "just a point" does us no good, because we've only got just a point as well. It's only good news for Chelsea and Arsenal. Win the game and we're just three points back of THFC with a game in hand - a draw and we're still six back, same as before the game.

I'm never a fan of seeing us sit back with a lead, especially with 35+ minutes to go. But up until their goal it was working fairly comfortably. We kept everyone in front and they weren't creating too much of a threat. But then Baines went flying past Walker instead of just getting in front of him as they had been doing, and it caused that moment of panic when we couldn't get organized, and of course they equalized. With a little more precision and composure, we could have made it 3-1 or 3-2 with our counter-attack chances. But not today. Still have a chance for Europe, but we're going to need a few breaks to go our way.

My thoughts too mate! Also, thought Spurs were very competitive, pressed high, and pressed hard. Not a bad return IMO, and a draw probably a fair result, but late equalisers are always tough to take.

Fellaini and Pienaar were out. If you say a point today before the match I would take it.

But we really should have won today. We are crap at holding on...

Baines was at fault. Really really bad decision.

Correct. The game turns on small things like that.

Adebayor's stretch finish could have hit Howard one inch across on the shin and stayed out. Small things.

Really good performance, no complaints from me. I have been massively impressed with Everton of late to be honest. Tactically Moyes has been very good as well - people complaining about the Mirallas sub are failing to realise that he was completely gone in the legs and had given up tracking back completely. It was the correct call.

We were a couple of inches away from a win today, if only Vic had turned that chance in...
