Kopite behaviour

Really good performance, no complaints from me. I have been massively impressed with Everton of late to be honest. Tactically Moyes has been very good as well - people complaining about the Mirallas sub are failing to realise that he was completely gone in the legs and had given up tracking back completely. It was the correct call.

We were a couple of inches away from a win today, if only Vic had turned that chance in...

When people can't think of any other things to pick at they just moan about Naismith. That's despite the fact that he stopped us being 3-2 down near the end.

Everton boss David Moyes: "One minute we were under pressure, the next we were breaking to score and it went that way through the second half. We were always a threat and scored a couple of good goals.

"Tottenham had a lot of chances themselves and we had to ride our luck at times without Marouane Fellaini and Steven Pienaar."

On the whole a decent result, but under the circumstances a game we had to win. Victor was immense, he is getting a regular run of games and is full of confidence. If ever a player deserved a goal it was him. The lack of a physical presence at the heart of our midfield was obvious. Many times Oman and Gibson were just shrugged off the ball far too easily, it was apparent why moves wanted fer to give us a much needed physical presence. On the plus side miralles scored another world class goal, it is just a pity we don't have anyone else on the same wavelength as him in our midfield. Another steal by moyes at 5m! Next week Felliani has to return at centre midfield alongside Gibson at the expense of Ossie who looks out on his feet. Piennar will return and I'd like to see Oviedo given a run out, to inject some needed pace into the team with Miralles to play just off anichebe.

we threw it away unfortunately
spurs looked pretty toothless even with their dominance, and we should have held out for the victory.
that being said we weren't stellar either today.
its not moyes' fault. His Naismith for Mirallas sub did not cause the equalizer. Just as the Jela for Barkley sub didn't cause the Mirallas goal.
Unfortunately a lack of focus on behalf of our players resulted in us conceding two unnecessary goals. They needed to be 100% in the game like they were vs City. They weren't.
Just means we have to beat Arsenal. I think we will. We shouldn't, there's no reason to assume it will happen, but we will.

Its not Naismith himself, it was the change.
Mirrallas was our best outlet all game.
He was putting pressure on their defence, and also tracking back. In my opinion, there was no need for that change.
We were leading when he went off, and some of the pressure went off with him.
When Jelavic broke away, Mirrallas would have been up there with him I reckon.

Your the man for stats, Id love to know how many we have conceded this season within 5 mins of a sub coming on.

Not when he was subbed he wasn't...

Point is, the goals we conceded had nothing to do with either Mirallas or Naismith. The second goal was because Baines got spanked by Walker and the first was just one of those things.

Whenever Naismith comes on people just moan for the sake of it.

funny that Everton getting more stick on this site than from the media and Spurs fans. Been some frustrating draws this season but this wasn't one. Basle played great on Thursday against them and still only got a 2 2. The ball bounces off the post into Howards arms or Anichebe's shot bounces an inch over their keeper, lots of people here would have seen a different game. Shades of grey. Great performances at the back, brilliant stuff from Mirallas, Anichebe starting to look like he could be the answer up front. we may have missed Fellaini more than they missed any of their players. Felt for a month or so we have to beat Arsenal to get fourth. still think that's where we are at. But the team spirit is back and two good players coming back in fresh. Liverpool expected to gain two or three points on us today. Pissed off for ten mins after game but happy now

have no qualms with it myself, he was only just fit for the game. would have preferred oviedo because of the pacey outlet that he provides and he is also a defender. anyway, that sub didn't cost us, i'm not sure if it's just coincidence, but we have conceded a lot of late goals just after making subs. But then again, all managers do that to run down the clock. It wasn't the same as fulham where he brought heitinga on for a striker and the reshuffle backfired massively.

i doubt mirallas would have been taken off if he was fully fit, at least i hope not anyway
