I've slaughtered Pickford, but that coud have been his best performance in a blue shirt for us yesterday. Not just the saves (which were fantastic) but also his command of the box and decisiveness was as good as I've ever seen it. Its very very early days with him, but it may just be the penny has dropped with him as it seems to with England.

We really looked like an Ancelotti team yesterday, which is the best compliment I can give us.
I think Pickford realises, at long last, that he doesn’t need a passport to leave his six yard area and made two excellent punches to run out and clear the ball, then again he also might have realised that the two, slow thinking centre backs, weren’t going to do it for him.

Let them keep on that spurs were off it and handed it to us on a platter - same old media rubbish - Everton actually went toe to toe with them and Don Carlos tactics and the players efforts made moanino blink first and change things by yanking Deli beli at half time and changing his shape.

We were the better side and should have won by more, so sniff it rs media whores.

Pickers did well, commanded his area and made good saves when he had to, but his shoite kicking infuriates me.

Anybody stopped smiling yet?! No, great stuff, as you were!

Arriba los caramelos!

I also think the media are deliberately missing the point; yes, Spurs weren't the same force of the last few years, but how many times in recent history have we come up against one of the Big Six having a relatively tough time, and still been turned over because we were mentally beaten before we set foot on the pitch?

This time we went toe to toe, as you quite rightly say, and managed not to defecate in our kecks at the sight of Kane, Son, et al.

Getting the players to believe was always going to be more than half the battle and Don Carlo looks like he COULD have cracked that dilemma already.

First time in a long time we witnessed us boss game and actually win the second ball! Having a bit of height in the mid with Doucoure helped win a lot of headers and win back possession, whereas in the past we would have lost those and been on the back foot. Still look a bit shaky at the back, but if we can start to convert more of our chances I think we’ll be finishing in a good position. Bring on Wednesday

Lol narrative of how poor Spurs were being pushed hard in media. We made them look poor.

If we signed Hojberg I imagine we might not have signed Allan. Near miss I reckon.
A lot of the stuff I’ve read particularly on the BBC has actually been very magnanimous of our performance. Jenas who I know isn’t popular was full of praise. I personally think that’s the Ancelotti effect again rather than a sudden and weird shift of opinion towards the club

If you get a chance, two full pages and the cover of The Times are a very satisfying read. What a happy change

Watched the Hojberg tackle on Richarlison again and feel that should have been a straight red. Got nowhere near the ball, excessive force in my view and then had the gall to roll around as if he'd been fouled. Also annoyed me the way Kane came in pushing our players away, glad to see Mina at least push him back.

2 footed

Said that to the missus at the time. 2 footed challenge = Should have been a red.

Love to see any players try to kick off against our lot this year. What was that WWF 5-man tag team thing called from years ago? I want to say Royal Rumble but I know that's not it. Mina, Kegs, Allan, Doucoure and Richy would make a pretty formidable team, like.

It was the old fashioned take everyone out in your way approach of goalkeeping. Exactly what you want in your keeper.

I think that you are being harsh on the centre backs there though. I thought they were organised very defensively and disciplined in maintaining the defence's shape. But if Allan keeps on at it like he does, then they may be allowed to take some more initiative if they're up to it.
