Just had a gander on the spurs forum it's absolutely beautiful, they are having the biggest meltdown ever.

They are so full of [Poor language removed] as well, seem to have this entitlement about them that they should be at the top, and we are still garbage etc etc

Take kane out that team and it's ridiculously average. And even he's looking like he doesn't want to be there.

They'll be back where they belong in a few years when kane has gone and mourinho has taken them backwards, back below us.
If anyone takes spurs down a level it’ll be levy and his refusal to spend money
That stadium will be a millstone around their neck
I’ll lay money Spurs will not sign a decent striker this window

It's already started. Since the start of 2019 they have been very average. They got 59 points last season. 10 more than us. Factor in our first 15 games, and also the lockdown end to the season and they were 10 points clear. Had we won at Spurs it would have neen 4 points. And thats witgh us in the relegation zone in December.

They have a £200m loan from the government which has helped them this season. No doubt they are hoping they can get football back into the ground this calender year, as well as big NFL games. I doubt it happens.

That money will then have to be paid back, and there will be no massive government grant to bail them out next year. I look at the squad and I also just say ageing assetts. I'm not sure anyone is cuing up to pay £100m + for Harry Kane for example.

Even if you look at us, I can see Richarlinson, Calvert Lewin and to a degree Gordon all being very saleable over the next year or 2.

Last chance for the bit part players to stake a claim
Step up or be sold
Pickford
Jjk
Braithwaite
Keane
Nkounkou
Siggy
Davies
Walcott
Bernard
Kean
Simms

It's a hard one isn't it? On the one hand people are very keen for us to win a trophy and want us to target the league cup. On the other, especially early on you always feel a real priority with the league (that is often lost come March/April when you look back).

I said at the time, I actually thought the performance against Preston was very good. If we play that well again we should be comfortable.

Probably a hybrid teams of sorts. I think on the above side mauybe DCL/Richarlinson for Simms, Digne for Nkondou and Doucoure for Davies might work. I'd like to see Kean start.

Just been watching the extended highlights. We have a creative midfield, a good one, with options from the bench. We have learnt to shoot at every opportunity. Pickford has learnt to catch a ball. God I love Ancelloti.....

I've slaughtered Pickford, but that coud have been his best performance in a blue shirt for us yesterday. Not just the saves (which were fantastic) but also his command of the box and decisiveness was as good as I've ever seen it. Its very very early days with him, but it may just be the penny has dropped with him as it seems to with England.

We really looked like an Ancelotti team yesterday, which is the best compliment I can give us.

Hard to pick one player out for lots of reasons but that performance was only good ,if you have seen the mid eighties or the sixties sides ,they were in a different league .Saying that it is promising ,as I expect another couple will join before the end of the window it will get much better again .
No complaints though just steadying the ship so to speak.
James was so good .

Don't think they need a striker, they need a cm to get on the ball as they never replaced that dembele who was boss

Can't have dier playing CB as well, big fat bomb head.

Honestly think kane is fed up now as well, without kane they are nothing

I gave it to Dacoure but could have easily given it to Allen or Pickford. Dacoure impressed me with his energy and good use of the ball but that tackle won him my motm.

That midfield have never played with each other yet it looked like they had been together for at least half a season......just shows what quality brings to the table.
6or 7 quality players now rather than the 3 or 4 bring a new dynamic and more problems to the opposition

The best thing about yesterday was when we went 1-0 up we didn’t sit back. The last few times we have gone a goal up we’ve dropped off and tried to soak up the pressure. Yesterday we kept going. We knew the right the times to sit off and have a breather but Spurs only ever had the ball when we let them. It’s one game so it’s important to not get carried away and a couple of injuries and we’re left with the same dross from last season but there is serious cause for optimism…. Real optimism.

Let them keep on that spurs were off it and handed it to us on a platter - same old media rubbish - Everton actually went toe to toe with them and Don Carlos tactics and the players efforts made moanino blink first and change things by yanking Deli beli at half time and changing his shape.

We were the better side and should have won by more, so sniff it rs media whores.

Pickers did well, commanded his area and made good saves when he had to, but his shoite kicking infuriates me.

Anybody stopped smiling yet?! No, great stuff, as you were!

Arriba los caramelos!
