Badly need to cut out silly individual errors. The goal against Southampton, both goals last week and the penalty today all down to individual errors. Massively frustrating for the likes of Tarkowski and Coady who have been on it in those games but have been let down by others not doing their job. Different to last year when we often capitulated and just looked like a soft touch.

Even their second goal today came from us being sloppy and giving the ball away mate.

We spent that money across the team. You're not going to fix everything in 1 window.

You replace a £50million winger...with a £50million winger. You want a 10 goal a season striker you spend £30+million on one. We couldn't do that.

It's a rebuild. You build from the back.

Ok well I don’t know what to say to people who think bringing in attackers wasn’t the most important thing to do. The evidence is apparent in every game we have played.

  • Jordan Pickford - dodgy
  • Seamus Coleman - past it
  • James Tarkowski - ok
  • Conor Coady - ok
  • Vitalii Mykolenko - awful
  • Alex Iwobi - average
  • Idrissa Gana Gueye - average
  • Amadou Onana - awful
  • Demarai Gray - awful
  • Dwight McNeil - terrible
  • Neal Maupay - awful

Conceded 9 from 10 games, teams conceded fewer are City (9 games), Spurs, Chelsea (8), Newcastle (9), West Ham (9) and the same as Villa (9) and Brighton. In 2 games we have gone from having the best defensive record to mid table. Usually you wouldn`t take notice but we just don`t score enough....

Teams that have scored less than us - Wolves (4 less), Villa 1 less played (1 less) & Notts Forest (1 less).

Mid Table defence, relegation fodder attack.

FYI Wolves have scored 4 goals this season, conceded 12 and have a -8 GD, they have been really awful - Well they are just 1 point behind us and have won the same amount of games, just drawn 1 less..... it is slowly turning in to another nightmare season.

Poor, but so were they. A soft penalty and a deflection we're needed to create anything.

I'm not worried. I expected us to lose to them. We are a work in progress and we will beat the teams who aren't fighting for Europe and will nick results against some of the top 6/8.

Wasn't a penalty, Kane bought it and it doesn't get questioned cause of who he plays for.
Some of the commentary on sky absolutely had me baffled tonight its as though they don't watch whats going on during the game

Forest are gone. Pretty much take your pick from the bottom half for the other two.

Will say Soton 19th, and a likely fight between us, Leeds and Wolves for 16-17th.

Can't wait to have one eye on other results next spring, hoping Wolves don't win by 2+ goals while Jupiter occults Venus.

Maupay just can't hold the ball up. We're so reliant on Calvert-Lewin to look after the ball in games like today. Maupay is better served in games where we have more of the ball higher up the pitch, rather than today when he was just isolated and playing with his back to goal all the time.

You have to score goals to stay up.

We need not just one more striker, we need two more in January.

Some of us were saying it all summer. As teams begin to settle now it’s going to increasingly hard to get points going with what we have. The World Cup can’t come soon enough for us I think

But they are happy. We did lose only 2:0 . Much better then last season...

I didn't expect much tonight tbh so cant slate the manager too much but the performances the whole season have been bang average minus 1-2 stand oot performers like Iwobi and Coady.

The forward options are largely poor which doesn't help Lampard but I dont buy you need a 20 goal slotter to play some decent stuff / challenge top 10 when Brighton for example finished 9th last season with Welbeck and Maupay as their forward options.

The fans have little ambishun these days just like Kenwright.
