In a squad of 25 players you need a mix of youth and experience, the most important thing is that they are good players, our biggest problem is not the age of the players, it's more about their ability. If the manager wants Isco and Khedira then I don't mind if we sign them, personally I think Khedira is over the hill, but the manager knows him better than I do. It's not as though we have a fantastic pair of midfielders in the u23s that would be held back by these signings

I would like us to sign real talent this year as the league is crazy and top four is a possibility.
long term pulling youth through to the first team has got to be an aim. It’s important for the fabric of the club. MU and RS have done it better than us - our players have always been finge members of the squad (except barkley). Having a reputation that youth player can play first team football means that the better academy players will sign for us.
World class signing a splattering of local talent is the dream.
