Yeah, I heard they tried to do a deal with a supermarket for a new ground, that got rejected, but most of their ground is closed in by houses with one end into a small retail area, about the same size as a small school and a haulage yard.

True but you tend to find players respect managers who have done something either as a coach or player at higher levels.Other than Motherwell,Walsall a Cup win and a relegation Bobby isn't going to set many players hearts racing.But the next few days will be interesting.

True but you tend to find players respect managers who have done something either as a coach or player at higher levels.Other than Motherwell,Walsall a Cup win and a relegation Bobby isn't going to set many players hearts racing.But the next few days will be interesting.

History tells us that the most successful managers actually had quite humble playing careers. Anyway we digress, we have stoke to debate.

@Jxg I want to improve our squad, like every proper everton fan does, but signing players based on their name, and not ability is not the way forward see Newcastle from about 10 years ago, as my example.

Signing players who'll strengthen us, and not ruin the morale is where we need to be.

I love that if you've been against Shaqiri signing the whole time we've been linked, and are still against it now, you're making excuses because we haven't signed him. A good reputation these days doesn't actually make a good player with the amount of people who don't actually watch the player to gain their own opinion.

Shaqiri isn't and never has been the player we're crying out for. Glad it's over. Next.

We need a defender, playmaker and a back-up striker before we can even worry about getting in another winger. We don't have very deep pockets so I feel the money we do have needs to be spent on our more important needs. I don't want that limited money taken away from those positions.

Especially when you consider Levy is a real tight arse and he's out of contract in 12 months.

Yes I know we improved a lot going forward when Lennon came into the side but if we were to sign a class play maker they're going to improve us even more than Lennon would.

yeah I think a playmaker is more essential, and clearly harder to find. I really hope its not one or the other but I do think Lennon clicked with the team and even if it meant offloading other wide options we shouldn't miss out.
