Yarp...it is what it is.

See know reason to waste an ounce of energy on it until then. We signed two very early doors...which frankly rarely to never happens with us.

I'm more concerned about the injuries than lack of business frankly.

We need 'business' to cover for said injuries.

I admire the levelheadedness, but aren't those two things kind of part of the same issue at the moment - that we look massively stretched/under-prepared?

Well, what a time to be alive, diesel is cheaper than petrol, people are killing prized lions for sport and Shaqiri signs for Stoke...the end is nigh!!!

Seriously though this has been such a strange window so far. Usually we are linked to every know player, almost always garbage but still, this window however there just doesn't seem to be any rumours.

I thought after the weekend we would start to see some movement yesterday/today but there is still literally not a thing being mentioned with any credibility. Why are we leaving it so late? Which makes me think there is one of two things happening:
1 - We are, as some have theorised waiting until the Champions League group stage qualifiers are over, then we'll hone in on top targets
OR
2 - We genuinely have no money, and any decent ins depend on one big out

I could be completely wrong of course, I just hope were not waiting for Chelsea to come in with the tipping point offer.

'Sake Everton, just sig someone boss yeah!?

I love that if you've been against Shaqiri signing the whole time we've been linked, and are still against it now, you're making excuses because we haven't signed him. A good reputation these days doesn't actually make a good player with the amount of people who don't actually watch the player to gain their own opinion.

Shaqiri isn't and never has been the player we're crying out for. Glad it's over. Next.

I've never rated him much. And it does sound bitter when you say its strange that the only clubs linked with him were us, Stoke, and Newcastle. Us and the Barcodes not really too bothered about breaking the bank for him either.

He could rip the league up for all I know. But until the window shuts and depending on who we get...I'm not bothered

@Jxg I want to improve our squad, like every proper everton fan does, but signing players based on their name, and not ability is not the way forward see Newcastle from about 10 years ago, as my example.

Signing players who'll strengthen us, and not ruin the morale is where we need to be.

explains mcgeady ?
