Apparently Barca are desperate to get rid of him so might be offering him as a loan but really doesn't make sense otherwise. If I'm going to be praying to injury gods I'd prefer to do it for Gibson who we know is good when fit.

Distin & Alcaraz off the wage bill, would mean a zero net spend, so you could re-allocate the league money to a wage increase.

Not far off being possible. Replace Song with someone else if his wages were stupid.

Don't forget cleverley is on decent money , McCarthy and mirallas new deals and delefou wages . I just don't see anything like that happening

Neither do I - I think it's more possible than you do though. We should have around £20m to spend this summer regardless of Stones.

Except of course it is Everton, which means OOC has to be kept fed like the untamed personal pet monster of Elstones' it is.
