What is the Martinez quote about the remaining transfers being late in the window because of they type of transfer? I had always imagined Lennon was one of these three, so add Mori and Yarmolenko. Is that the three targets? Or would Lennon and Yarmolenko compete for the same target?

In a week when the Everton owners have clearly sent out their PR team to get on top of the media narrative and swing it back to their 'benign ownership of the club', I'd be inclined to treat all these 'Everton in negotiations with' stories with a huge shovel of salt.

Although it hasn't backfired in the past. I think it would this time. The manager has said what he needs, we know the money is there, we've seen everybody else spend, the board have to deliver.

I'm not saying it has to be Yarmz. But a centre half and another attacking option are a must.
