Any signings is a game, how they settle in, how the family settles in, there are many aspects that could go against you. It's very easy to sell Everton, our squad and what we want to achieve. From a foreign point of view, the Premier League is an attractive league."
9.31amThe manager is specifically asked about Yarmolenko, but isn't giving much away, replying: "No. We are going a lot of work. We've highlighted the ideal targets but there's nothing to be announced. Anything we can announce, the fans will be the first to find out. I'm trying to get a new dressing room in case all the names we're being linked with come through."

It was important to retain the core of the squad that finished fifth two years ago. Being in Europe was vital to become better, and now the signing will add something to that group."
