John Stones was "only a kid" when he came in and got his chance. Take Barry out of the middle and we lose vital cover for the defence and control when we've got possession, he's pretty vital to how we try and play and we've got no one else who can dictate from the back. He's also slower than snail in a coma and would get run ragged by any able bodied right sided player.
No issue with him being backup for a few games here and there but if he's all we've got for now then we need another or another body from the squad to fill in. I've never been keen on Oviedo there as I see him more forward and his injury record isn't great. Stones didn't get many games at full back early on but has shone in his natural position, left back isn't Galloways natural position.
