Maybe with Yarmolenko off the table we might show interest in Honda again? I know he's gone off the boil recently but I remember a player scoring free kicks from 40 yards out for Japan and running the show for them. Plus I always buy him for Everton on FM and he's ace so therefore we should buy him.

Honda has struggled to adapt to Italian football so god only knows how he'd perform here. I'd hope for much better.

That's him ruled out

i have a feeling we will get Austin. There is nothing to suggest we will or that we are even in for him i just have a feeling.

Can't imagine it. Roberto said this morning, with Mori he's happy with the defensive options and that our other two signings will be attackers in different positions. Imagine Rodriguez is the striker and then one more signing afterwards which will be a winger/attacking midfielder.

Think he said rodriguez wasn't one of the 3, and was seen more as a youth project like holgate

Ah, well that changes things then. Bit old to be considered a youth prospect though considering he's turning 23 in November. Just hoping to see a big name come in.
Think he's just seen as a project coming from another league, like coleman, take a year / 6 months of adapting and then can help the first team.

Or he might be able to just go straight in as a squad player / back up.

pretty sure he was on about charlie austin, not kevin

Martinez is quite clearly looking to spend most of his budget on that real quality attacking midfielder. Yarmolenko, Payet, Mertens etc... we've been linked with these types for roughly the same price all summer. For that reason I really can't see Austin happening, unless it's last minute and all of his "big money" attacking midfielder targets are dead in the water.
