Well this is what Martinez said in today's press conference : "What I can tell you is it will be two players in the attacking positions. If everything gets completed with Mori we will be happy with the defensive spots. Leandro is going to be announced later today." Since then Leandro has been confirmed. As for the other attacking player, I reckon Martinez has got another surprise up his sleeve.

In his press conference, Roberto made it sound like Rodriguez wasn't one of the three signings in my opinion. He talked about the two signings as if he couldn't say anything other than they would be attacking players of differing positions, then was asked about Leandro and talked about it as if it were a different matter completely. Also, it's a bit misleading the way you framed his quotes. There were questions and other sentences in between some of those statements. All that said, I could be misreading him completely.

My guess is he wants two more attackers in addition but if one doesnt happen then this bloke will br spun as one of them, all about pr really

It's all about timing.
Lennon isn't going to make any difference to the way we play

P.S. he was brilliant for us last year, but the situation right now is just different

Exactly this. When he came on loan, he was brought in to help steady the ship and his effort did that.
Now, in a new season and not playing too badly, that need is not so paramount, and Lennon if he came now would have to produce a lot more end product in terms of goals and assists to justify his signing.

He did well for us last season, however the circumstances are different now and I don't think he would be the answer we're seeking/hoping for.

These types of signings really worry because they're total wildcards. This lad could turn out to be class or a complete donkey, nobody seems to know anything about him or his style of play.

The ambiguity in the way he speaks English as a second language is kind of advantageous in that respect... I sound a bit cynical, but you know what I mean. It would be silly to come out and speak in absolutes though, no matter what certainty he has of signings - especially with this board.

I'm going against my better judgement here, but I fancy us to make a big splash come Tuesday, hopefully it's unexpected and we only get told 4 hours after the window shuts. Therefore we can have the usual fume for the majority of the day and swiftly followed by I told you so for the remainder of the night.

I reckon we will bring in Lennon after the game later today. Levy is smart enough to know to hold onto him til after the game in case he scores the winner against them. Really hope that Roberto and the board have a suprise ace up their sleeves in the form of a playmaker but I have a feeling it's going to be a last minute scramble between us and a few other clubs for Austin.
