If it was him on the cheap and that freed up funds for a big "number ten" signing I wouldn't be complaining.

And those who (correctly) point out that it's not about money spent, it's about quality brought in, should note that we haven't brought in a player who has improved our starting eleven. (Arguably Cleverley - but that is a moot point now anyway).

Deulofeu improved on our starting 11 when he came on at Barnsley didn't he? Both him and Cleverly are really good signings imo.
