Well we need someone. Personally I'd prefer a false nine behind the seven just to the left of mid-range around the corner.

I know they're saying we need a new keeper to replace Howard but I think Jags could do a job as a false 1

it's been an alright window like. got a couple of old earners off the books, kept hold of a promising young english left back and brought in players in all the areas we needed to strengthen.

we needed the final piece of the jigsaw which was the priority signing, but maybe that will come in january - we can get by with a different formation until then.

i wanted 1 if not 2 keepers, but accepted pretty much from the offset that would never be addressed and wanted a top striker backup - but again, with this board i knew that wouldn't happen. will give rodriguez time before making a judgement.

it hasn't been horrendous like people say - we have a very good core of 9 starting XI players - we just needed to up the squad numbers and quality really.
