Disappointed we've missed out on a forward. In a lot of games in the last 12 months, our main problem has been a lack of support and service to Lukaku. Saturday was a good example of that.
The attacking positions needed strengthening this summer. Getting both Deulofeu and Lennon for £8-9m is fantastic, but still, they're unlikely to completely solve the problem. Barkley will probably continue at attacking midfield and unless he makes a huge improvement on last season's performance, may not deliver enough there for us to achieve anything of note in the league this year.
There are positives to take from the window, but I'm a bit concerned that management have allowed this to happen after prioritising the "number 10" position so much all summer. Martinez has to get these players performing to a much higher standard than last season as there's no excuse now for poor performance.
