Daily Mail reckons McCarthy is interested in going to Spurs.

Someone with OCD needs to keep track of just how many things the papers get wrong in windows. We all know it's a lot ... but I think seeing the actual number of their lies would be worthwhile. Not gonna do it myself mind.

I haven't heard that rumour. Perhaps a deal could be done which involves Aaron Lennon...

Tottenham are prepared to offer cash plus Aaron Lennon for Everton midfielder James McCarthy.

Roberto Martinez insisted the 24-year-old was not for sale amid interest from Tottenham and Manchester City.

However, that will not deter Tottenham who believe the 24-year-old is willing to join them.

Everton boss Martinez said: 'He’s not for sale. James McCarthy is a top performer. He has shown that over recent years. We know what he brings with young legs and good energy.'

Aaron Lennon, who spent some of last season on-loan at Everton, could be used in the potential deal
McCarthy has grown frustrated after Everton promised to revise the five-year contract he signed on joining from Wigan for £13m in 2013.

The Republic of Ireland international was promised increments based on appearances and performances but the ones outlined have not been put in place and he remains one of the squad's lower earners.

I'm just pleased nobody is arsed about Kaboul joining Sunderland.
I think everybody here is focussed on what Stoke is up to this window. When people find out that Sunderland are also transacting summer business, I have no doubt that GOT fume levels, already in the red zone, will increase massively.

However, that will not deter this newspaper from reporting he is leaving because we are all spazdicated mongrels who just throw a dart at a player and a dart at a club then report interest
