I just want that attacking midfielder in and settled before the start of the season. That's the really crucial one.

Also, we need to bring in a real alternative to Lukaku. Kone is just depressing.
We will be looking but as always we will be holding off to save on wages, even now, most likely.

I'd love me a Kagawa tbh.

Our first 10 fixtures are brutal. We need to hit ground running by smashing Watford all over Goodison. A good signing could help get that feel good factor back, along with helping us unpick a side that is highly likely to sit deep, reduce space and remain disciplined.

When have we ever sold more that 1 first team player in a single window? I mean starters now.

We may sell one (probably stones) but I can't see us doing a Southampton.

Guys please keep it on topic, only post cats if there's been a genuine link to the club.

Kenwright has won again hasn't he? Even by buying nobody else and keeping Stones it'll be like a victory for him the loads of the deluded fans will think he's ace.

Stones going to Chelsea makes sense for him as a footballer. He's good enough, will probably get plenty of games this season and will be a regular for another 15 years, challenging for titles and individual honours the whole time no doubt. He's got a much better chance of becoming England captain as a Chelsea player and can triple his wages overnight. Of course he'll want to join them! He's not an Everton fan. He'll be grateful that Everton helped him develop quickly enough to join a top club so soon in his career. Only bitter blues will condemn him for wanting to join Chelsea. I just hope his sale leads to us signing three (at least) top players for our starting eleven.

Right chaps this is what we have done in the last 5/6 years selling wise

Lescott - Dug our heels after citys original 16 million offer, dragged on through the summer (which didnt help us) but eventualy got 27 million for him

Rodwell - Footballer with plenty of talent but no product or drive, injury prone and apart from the odd glimpse struggled to get into our first team, we got 15 million for him

Baines - About 6 transfer windows in a row united wanted him. Derisory bids even a double one of 24 million for him and fellaini we laughed off. United ended up bidding more and we still said no

Fellaini - Along with previous bid with Baines got rejected sold a couple of weeks later for 27 million as well as getting him to place a transfer request (no money for fellaini). 27 million despite a month earlier had a buy out clause of 24 million

We even got good money for Anichebe & Jelavic

Still people think the board will crumble and sell Stones under what they value him at. If their is one thing the board are great at is getting money via transfers or even getting them to stay a little longer or staying completely.
If he goes it will be for silly money or he will stay, players have come and gone before john stones and it will happen again.

Can we just be honest now and admit that we're not going to sign anybody unless we sell?

I hate the fact that clubs like Palace, West Ham and the Toon are able to spend - and we're not.

Depressing.

WTF? We have 20mil + to spend.

Where do you make this crap up about us not signing anyone? We bid 8mil for Dann.

There is more than a month of tranny window left and we have only just got back from Singapore.

We have signed 2 players and there will be at least 2 more top signings - VAULT ME.
