They're bigger clubs. It's fans taking it the wrong way being petty.

Bigger clubs my arse. City and Chelsea? They have a long way to go before they measure up to Everton. To suggest otherwise is merely present-mindedness, and when have we ever seen that as a measuring rod of greatness? Do we call Lukaku an all time great because he's our leading scorer right now or would we laugh at that evaluation and recognise that in comparison with the likes of Dean, Sharp and even Cottee he's way off the pace?

As far as Distin goes: dont give that rat the benefit of the doubt. He's took the money and run, but not before sulking and then aiming a swift kick to the bollocks.

Now we've sold Long i expect Everton to use the money and sign a player. I predict a signing by the end of the current week.

It's not present-mindedness at all. City and Chelsea are big clubs. It's going back 20 years since we won anything - something that you are often one of the first to point out!

We can't keep living in the past either. We've got a brilliant history and fanbase, but Chelsea and City are now considered super clubs. History wise, I know, they're not as big. But how many league titles have we won over the last 15 years? As far as Stones, and any other player sees it, Chelsea and City are bigger clubs.

Unfortunately all true. People kidding themselves if they genuinely believe otherwise.

International football does weird things to players. Krancjar who struggled to get in Portsmouth's team used to run rings around Gerrard and Lampard, the same way Diamanté who couldn't cut it at West Ham would terrorise our back 4 for Italy. I guess the ultimate proof is that Howard looks like a goalkeeper for the U.S. Honourable mentions to Alexandersson, Kleberson, Hugo Viana, and Podolski who looked bang average in the prem but turned into world beaters when facing England for their national side.

Kranjcar is an excellent shout, as is Diamanti. Think I remember Hleb and Sergey Krivets doing something similar for Belarus.

In my opinion Mason Holgate is going to be a very good central defender, if he continues in his development as he his, he'll be a premier league players and a decent one at that, he's been playing at right back for us, but he'll be a centre half, to answer the question about have we brought any others through apart from stones and Holgate, Jacob Butterfield is a decent player but that's about it, I regularly watch or U18S & U21S and I'll go out on a limb and say we'll bring through 6/7 good players through in the next couple of years, 17 year old James Bree will take Holgates place if he leaves this summer, and that kid will go to the very top , like stonesy, all these kids coming through now would have been 9/10/11 years old when Leeds entered administration and Wednesday cut back on their spending at youth level, we've got kids from Wakefield Sheffield Doncaster and Rotherham way coming to us because we were investing in youth when others weren't, so we're benefitting now from getting players we otherwise wouldn't have .

I've got a good mate in Barnsley who reckons Paul Digby is the next lad with loads of potential just waiting to be snapped up.
He said we should get Holgate too.
