I think the use of graphics/stats like the above us useful when used alongside naked-eye analysis.
Players like Nolito, Cherysev, Vietto have attracted many plaudits and played really well. Having stats also show that strengthens the case a bit.
Naturally stats will sometimes make poor players look good or great ones look poor, but a combination of the two can produce a better analysis of the player's ability. It's the same reason scouts will use extensive databases of every possible bit of info you could imagine, but still always go and watch a player in the flesh, multiple times.

We where linked to him at the start of the season along with Liverpool. Then it went a bit quiet because Rafael wanted him at Real and now it looks like he will leave after all but I think the player wants to stay at Real or go back to Villareal on loan. He's a huge Real fan and doesn't want to give up the chance of playing there.
