He was stubborn in his approach plans in most games in the league last season which cost us a few games, he must improve his tactics IMO

Agree that he was stubborn in some games last year, but think he didn't want to show he was bowing down to pressure and with Eto'o/Distin about didn't want to show weakness, basically abit of a mess.
New season, fresh start

True, hopefully with some shiny new players and no outgoings

From arguably the best source out there...

Designed to make it look like activity at a club that's becoming embarrassingly associated with inactivity in the media at the moment.

Smoke and mirrors from the Everton PR department...and they've used a Kopite to aid them.

Dave, I'd accuse you of over negativity, but it's actually difficult to argue your rationale in the above posting.

No, I disagree. He's looked ok and upbeat on occasion. That interview today suggests something clearly has not materialised for Martinez and he's not in any mood to let the fact he's needing bodies in to make this season a runner go unmentioned.

Moyes' parting shot in the Baines/Fellaini affair was to say that Roberto will get to know how Everton operate in time. He was slaughtered for it at the time, but I think we all knew he'd be spot on about it in the end.

Mooms has learnt to hack accounts!

Masters of spin. The one area of expertise these people who run the club have. Just dont ask them to find investment or build a stadium.

A few months ago I'd have been amazed if Mirallas would have signed a new deal, but after waving his arse around hoping a Champions League side would take him - only to realise sulking for the best part of 12 months has made him unworthy of a place in the reserves of most of those sides - it wouldn't surprise me at all if he goes for the "I loved the club all along" routine.
To be fair on Mirallas, he has been saying that he will stay and loves the club in every interview after the "penalty incident". Only those disjointed quotes from Belgium talking about Champions League. Remember Belgium papers selling Fellaini a couple of times too before he left. Just those journalist wanting their stars to play in CL. So they ask "Do you want to play in CL?" And the player answers "Of course, it's the biggest tournament. Hope to play there one day, maybe with Everton." And the newspaper sets the headlines "Mirallas/Fellaini wants to play with a CL club."

But make no mistake, he would have left if there was any interest from a big CL club.
