It seems we'll be getting 2 or 3 players in by 1 Sept. But why oh why do we have to gamble until then. I know a signing is for 3 or 4 years as per norm, but its clear RM knows we're light. Basically, gambling we'll get off to a decent start with the squad we have. Well not beating Watford suggests we are not going to. I don't get the mentality of the club. Short term fixture list and ever growing injury list doesn't bode well. And most of all, everybody could see it coming. All so predictable.

And we wonder why we lose most of our opening games as we are never ready. Martinez needs to get his playmaker right or this could be his last season.

If we want to play possession teams will of course set up shop but right now we're lacking players in the final third who can't* break through. Teams park the bus against teams like Arsenal as well but the difference is they have players like ozil and cazorla who can unlock a defence. they don't switch to " plan B (aka hoofball)"

You're being too reasonable. Try setting your hair on fire and running round screaming 'we're going to be relegated'. That should get through.

Think we'll get Lennon at the last minute. We need something if only to create proper competition for places. Too many squad members comfortable. Definitely needs shaking up. Matrinez will come under increasing pressure around October/November if last seasons malaise carries on into this season. Yesterday doesn't help his cause.

Bring in more traditional forward who'll bring new blood and competition for Lukaku ///Austin

Bring in quality player who has a creative dimension in his game. Player who boosts the whole system and more importantly brings guns into final third

Front 3 is to lightweight and what about Cleverly possibly are best player yesterday.

Sporting Gijon coach Abelardo Fernandezhas expressed his interest in West Ham andEverton target Alen Halilovic.

Barcelona are preparing to loan out Croatian playmaker Halilovic and West Ham and Everton both want to bring him to England.

However, Barca could farm him out to another La Liga side in order to keep a closer eye on his progress, and former Camp Nou defender Abelardo wants the teenager under his stewardship at Sporting.

Speaking to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, he said: “Of course Halilovic interests us. There is interest in many players, but we do not have one million euros to pay.

“He is an interesting footballer, who is very good at controlling the ball, and [one] who can contribute many things.”

Agree with this and part of adding energy would be taking Barry out for Barkley. He is like a massive anchor on the whole team.

Yes, spot on. Easier said than done though when the carpetbaggers only hand you a war chest of £4M.
 
4M spend is a poor excuse. It's not true you can't play exciting football without money and top players. Bielsa spent 3M net (so less than Martinez) and look how his Marseille played last season.



His Bilbao side was brilliant as well and he didn't buy anybody.
 
And what about Borussia Monchengladbach and Lucien Favre? They're playing great football with much success and they're propably spending a lot less than Everton. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ROLF KONINGS OUT!
