berbatov is simply a reflaction of how ibrahimovic would be treated in this country.

the fact united dropped him so quickly despite being a top striker for them basically gave ibra an invitation to stay away. Shame really as the guy is obviously brilliant

Always got the impression that Berbatov was brought in by UTD to partner/bring on Rooney with his intricate unlocking skills. It didn't quite work out and when Rooney and Ronaldo hit it off with the highspeed countering, Berbatov looked more and more obsolete as they ditch playing two up front. They couldn't even drop him back to play as number 10 because Scholes was there pinging balls around left right and centre.

Always got the impression that Berbatov was brought in by UTD to partner/bring on Rooney with his intricate unlocking skills. see what makes it all odd about him is that he was the leagues top goalscorer the year before he left. Seems that he proved himself as a striker then feguson basically dumped him without warning and it led to him leaving.

It is a fair point. They are very similar players, ilbiet Ibrahimovic being the much better version of him.
