Hasn't Kagawa been utterly tripe for about 4 years now? Looked crap for Utd the times I seen him and supposedly didn't have a good season at Dortmund last season. I don't watch any other footy so not sure how he's played or of he's available.

Hmm I agree, but Martinez has said that the squad won't be as big as last season - and it doesn't need to be in fairness. No need to spend £6mil on him as we have to prioritise other areas.

some of my mates are celtic season ticket holders ( i live in glasgow). They all say we can have Van Dyke(or how ever you spell it) for 8 mill. They say he is terrible. Hes fine playing teams like ross county week in week out but when he plays in europ hes found out.

We need a defender who is tried and tested in the premier league.

After Martinez being very specific about signing an attacking midfielder who can handle the physicality of the Premier League then I'd be very surprised to see him opt for what is essential a Swiss hobbit in Shaqiri.
