Travel advice while in liverpool

Plus points of the digs in Shiel Road :

It’s near enough to the ground to walk.

Minus points :

You’ll get mugged, offered gear and a gummy suck off a crack ho before you get the there.

Other than that you’ll be fine 👍
Off topic I accept but still. The Penny Farthing will forever live in my Everton memories. The choice of sunglasses, a giant Dime bar and vacuum packed bacon will be with me to my grave. Very fondly.

Haha great choice on my account , should I just take the loss and get a hostel on the waterfront? It's weird the place got good reviews and doesn't look sketchy on the GPS photos

You’ll be fine mate.

It’s not the greatest area but as long as you mind your own business it’ll be sound. You’re not too far from town as well so taxis in and out won’t be too much.

It’s hardly the Gaza Strip round there.

I'm flying out to liverpool in December and will be attending the wolves game and the derby , for most of the trip I was able to get an apart hotel on the waterfront, for Saturday night I had made other accommodations as the rate doubled I thought i got a nice place travel guest house bit it was highly rated but wasn't family with the area , I guess it's located in fairfield and newsham park on sheil rd which is I guess supposed to be a little rough will I be okay for one night? I've never traveled oversees before but I don't think I'm naive and my friend is a seasoned traveler.
Are you travelling with an Irish guy living in Denver by any chance?

Agreed I think he’ll be sound .

The hostel I assume is the one on the strand by the Maccies ? I’ve never been but it’s a hostel , I’m fairly sure you’re shiel road place will be sound . If you’re worried I’m sure someone on here will give it a look for you , somebody might be glad of an excuse:)

Be arsed spending all that for some flights overseas then moving rooms for 1 night because the rate changes, but you'll be fine I'm sure. Have a good time, and good luck with derby tickets.
