Looking to do stuff or sun bathe? Could go to Naples, get a ferry over to Capri and/or Ischia. Amalfi coast/Sorrento are just south of their.

I'm a do stuff holidaymaker. The odd day lounging somewhere with a book is nice, bur do like to explore.

Well Naples has Versuvius and Pompeii as well. Could poss take in a game at the same time.

Cinque Terra's supposed to be really nice if you like walking, lots of lovely cliffside walks and pretty little villages. It's not far from Florence or somewhere like that iirc, so could tie in with there/Pisa. Obvs Rome is cool. Venice, but probably rammed this time of year (tho I didn't mind it when I went 7/8 years ago at the beginning of August).

Any suggestions for coastal/beach holiday in Italy? Another country on my 'list' to visit so wouldn't mind going next year. Sorrento I've been told is okay. Thoughts?

Caorle near Venice might suit. Bit quieter and more laid back than Lido di Jesolo.

Off to NYC and Philadelphia on Sunday for the wifes 40th, can't wait. Been a few times so looking for different things to do. We have the Bronx Zoo booked and we are going to see the Mets v Orioles in the Baseball along with the Harry Potter show on Broadway, however im most looking forward to seeing Springsteen in Philly. Might shoot over to New Jersey and have a look at Tony Sopranos house.

Couldn't find any decent deals for places mentioned to me the other day, but managed to get a resaonably inexpensive flight and hotel to Geneva. Any recomendations for things to do there? Thinking the lake, bit of culture, some nice pubs/bars/clubs?
