Was jack right on this one dan? City?

He sure was. I stand corrected but I believe 6 meetings covered live on TV:

89-90 0-0; 90-91 2-0; 03-04 0-0; 09-10 2-0; 11-12 1-0; 12-13 2-0

It's a bit iffy but I think a win back in the Kendall era (4-0) might also have been on TV (or maybe it was just highlights, I'm not sure - I thought the first live game at home was v Chelsea (1-1 1986)

OTOH we've only beaten Chelsea 1 time in 11 when televised at home.

No, you're spot on, although the City 4-0 in 86 (Lineker hat trick?) deffo wasn't live.

The excellent evertonresults.com has a list of all games that were live on British TV.

(I'm still two posts away from being able to post links - so copy and paste...)

Since 1970, there have been 16 footballers to be named to the everton first team squad who also played professionall football in four or more different non english league systems.

So if Beckham played for everton he would count as he's played in four non english leagues (france, italy, spain and usa).
