TV Series

I love the actress from You're the worst. Finished the comics this week and the three episodes and I agree with you here.

They could have done a better job giving us an idea of what she's about in those first three episodes.

I think with shows like this it’s aimed more for the non-reader so to everyone else she’s just a character they’re slowly introducing.

Whereas in the comics a massive raging Nazi male.

Was really hoping Love Sausage would make an appearance.

There's still time. When the trailer showed them on the run I thought he might come into it there.

Meh, not a fan but don’t mind him as the lead. My mates keep asking me what’s gonna happen and I was like, no clue, this ain’t the comic story anymore haha.
I like him but he's nowhere near as intimidating as the comic version.

the lack of them using compound V themselves and having a bit of equalizing power takes away a bit of respect and intimidation too. They're keeping them as much bigger underdogs which I think helps the story a bit tbh

Yeh tbh because they don’t have the V I treat it as wildly different to the comics because realistically only The Female stands a chance against any of them. It’s kinda refreshing watching as I don’t know what will happen next. Maybe they’ll get hold of some Season 3? Either way it’s gruesome and I love it.

Yo jake.

Think it's to try and make Karl Urban more intimidating.
His accent does my head in. Still enjoying the show but anytime he opens his mouth it annoys me.

One small thing annoyed me as well was when at one point he says he "lost his bottle" when talking about hitting someone. This is not his fault, it's the writer's fault, but they've completely got British slang wrong which makes his awful accent even more clear. "Lost my rag" or the equivalent is what was needed there. Small thing I know but I can't help but notice stuff like that.

Still very much in love with Starlight though and enjoying what they are doing with The Deep.

True.
Such minor continuity coque ups make me fume...offends my OCD side.

I’ve got over his accent now. Took a few episodes.

Cobra Kai. Absolutely superb, very well written and performed.

My missus is insisting we keep watching it, which is a pity as it was my suggestion. Normally I like lovercraftian horror and period TV shows about racism in the American South, but this hasn't blended those two elements particularly well. Ludicrous deus ex machina storytelling, I should know better than to watch anything JJ Abrams has touched
Is the blonde bird well fit though?

@jaycee have you watched this - Bloodline ( 3 series ) ?

The cast is spot on, the writing is excellent, the cinematography is outstanding ( Florida Keys ) and the reviews are very good.

I’m six episodes into the first series and I’m struggling a bit, as it feels like a very well put together, dark and violent soap.
