TV Series

Just started the 2nd season of UNDERCOVER on Netflix , Hopefully its as good as the first season which was brilliant.

Just finished it.

It’s much more polished than the first and runs three threads at the same time - arms smuggling and revenge both cops and criminals.

It’s gripping and you find yourself, saying to yourself “ just one more “ !

It goes a bit silly towards the end and strays into the unbelievable, but it’s still very good.

Mrs.Claus likes to watch that Queen Royal Family thing on Netflix.

Sat through half an hour yesterday and if you put together a ratio of praise, money spent and entertainment delivered it's got to be the most boring show ever. Cannot fathom how anyone likes it or how that is considered the final product worth releasing.

Pretty late to the party on this, I avoided it to read the book first but haven't got a copy yet and got bored and put it on.

The Handmaid's tale is the most disturbing thing I've watched in a long time. I watched the first few episodes of the first series last night and had stressful dreams about it. Almost finished the first series now and I've felt physically sick watching some parts and cried almost every episode.

Thought provoking with scenes and themes that stay with you long after you turn off your telly.

Anyway if anyone else hasn't bothered with it yet I'd highly recommend, uncomfortable but essential viewing.

yep it’s a tough watch... just no letting up with any moments of frivolity... stays heavy from start to finish. Brilliant though.. and worth it.

Its called The Crown. You may not like it, or the subject material, but its brilliantly written, filmed and acted (especially acted).

My issue wasn't with the subject material but the rather drab way it was done. Like I say I've only watched 30 minutes so I've no doubt missed the highlights. Mrs.Claus has watched every episode and sings it's praises but even she was less than complimentary regarding the episode I saw. I watched the part around Mountbatten's funeral, Anne jumping around on a horse and Charles causing a traffic jam while Diana curtsied a lot.

The scenes I saw which featured the Queen, Philip or Thatcher seemed very staged, with stilted dialogue and over acted rather than natural if you get my meaning. Didn't take me in for one second and I'm a sucker for suspending disbelief and seeing characters rather than the actor.

Start from season 1 in The Churchill days and go with it from there.
