TV Series

Vigil's losing some of its charm for me. Reverting to tropes and relying on flashbacks to try and get you more emotionally engaged with characters. Might try The North Water next.

Hoping Vigil might return to form towards the end and that it may just be a case of padding out the middle due to it being 6 parts. Perhaps they could have tightened the narrative and thus made it better if they cut it down by 1 or 2 episodes.

Has anyone else watched this pile of rubbish - the Code.

I only watched it on the strength of the reviews and all the awards it’s won.

A young genius computer hacker, is blackmailed into working for a shadowy Australian government dept, into hunting fan Aussie cyber terrorist, who’s on the run in Indonesia. Uncovering state sponsored massacres, environmental crimes and much more along the way.

The acting is on par with Home and Away and it’s generally all over the place.

One to avoid - Netflix.

Had a very interesting premise this but by the end of the first season I found myself struggling to get through. It does have its moments like. Not sure I'm itching to get started on season two though.
Update - think I've officially given up 4 episodes into the second season. I've lost track and, subsequently, lost interest.

Midweek Match Revisited. For our younger forum members see how EFC can really mess it up. Yesterday relived the 2-3 home defeat to Sheffield United. 2-0 up within 30 minutes. The season that the title was on a plate until we lost home and away to the rock bottom relegated Carlisle United. Enjoy the sight of Mick Bernard's beer gut.
