TV Series

Not that young for a start and certainly not the way he looks in that poster. Fingers crossed that he nails the role character wise but I'm becoming less and less hopeful by the day.

Well I hate to break it to you but this series isn't spanning the thousands of years that it should so you're in a for a bit of a shock in general.

Yeah I'm seeing that now. I was hoping for a somewhat vaguely accurate adaption of the major events set during second age of Middle Earth. Which was what the show was advertised as but Its seems that's not going to happen. Probably best if I just don't bother to watch.

I mean, you will though.

Let me put it this way: a young Isildur is in this series from the beginning.

I probably would've if I hadn't seen what Amazon did to Wheel of Time. I don't want to see that happen with anything Tolkien related.

Yep that's a good enough reason for me to just skip the whole thing entirely. Its going to just be another generic fantasy show that uses The Lord of the Rings name for branding purposes but almost entirely ignores the lore.

Reacher on Prime.
Finished watching the first series and I'm disappointed with it to be honest.
I'm speaking as someone who had read all the books, so am really coming at it from that viewpoint. Not to say that the series was bad, just that I don't reckon the transfer to tv really worked. I posted about enjoying the first couple of episodes and that it looked promising, but sadly it petered out into the realms of ridicule.
Nice attempt though.

All of us are Dead.

The latest South Korean offering from Netflix.

They’ve invested big bucks in this one, with a whopping twelve, hour long episodes and a massive budget, with the actors, sets and specials effects.

An unbalanced high school science teacher, creates a zombie virus, that infects the pupils of the school and then the town outside.

It’s a bit of a strange one this, as the first two episodes are shockingly bad - typical teen school nonsense and then it just goes nuts and becomes really good.

The acting from everyone is good, the zombies are some of the best I’ve seen, the set and camera work is excellent too.

However, every now and again, it gets bogged down, with the relationships of the teenagers, which spoils some of the episodes.

Could’ve done with being eight, rather than twelve episodes.
