TV Series

Will watch that tonight straight after I finish the last episode of S1 of Undercover. Once you come to terms with the dreadful dubbing on that, Ferry sounds like Crusty the clown from Simpsons, its quite a good watch.

Just finished series 3 of Undercover.

Each series gets better and series 3 is really polished.

Plus by series 3, Ferry has turned into a Dutch Tony Soprano !

The film - Ferry is worth a watch too.

It was my elder lad put me onto the series. Just the other day he told me about the film and I asked him should I watch that before I start another series. What do you think? Will it confuse me or spoil any future viewings

All of us are Dead.

The latest South Korean offering from Netflix.

They’ve invested big bucks in this one, with a whopping twelve, hour long episodes and a massive budget, with the actors, sets and specials effects.

An unbalanced high school science teacher, creates a zombie virus, that infects the pupils of the school and then the town outside.

It’s a bit of a strange one this, as the first two episodes are shockingly bad - typical teen school nonsense and then it just goes nuts and becomes really good.

The acting from everyone is good, the zombies are some of the best I’ve seen, the set and camera work is excellent too.

However, every now and again, it gets bogged down, with the relationships of the teenagers, which spoils some of the episodes.

Could’ve done with being eight, rather than twelve episodes.
Thought it was excellent. Agree about the relationships but it is aimed at a teenage audience so can understand why they are in it.

Really enjoyed the way they looked at it from the point of view of the army and the guy having to make the decisions as well, probably could have gone more into that.

Zombie shows often fail to live up to my expectations, but the zombies were convincingly done and impressive with the occasional implausible and ridiculous escape, but that's what zombie shows always have.

A few genuinely shocking and upsetting moments. I'm hoping for another series, as its not often there's a zombie series that lasts, other than walking dead, which has probably lasted 5 series too long (even though I have enjoyed this final series so far). But I envision it being focused around Nam-Ra.

Fascinating two-part documentary on PBS America about the life of William Randolph Hearst. Basically a racist, megalomaniac, spenthrift ; originator of the media mogul, failed President nominee and many, many other things. I don't think Citizen Kane does him justice.

Spot on, they put a lot of thought into it, rather than treading the well worn zombie path.

Plus, they weren’t scared to kill of lead characters too.

Just started watching Peaky Blinders. I could never get in to it before. The huge upturn of lads in their twenties wearing flat caps and pinky rings put me right off.

Only 2 episodes in but it seems pretty good so far.
Great series, Can’t believe the BBC managed to pull off a great program, that’s why I dismissed it for first 3 seasons, hold my hands up they were right in the game with this one
