Mini Series ' When they see us '

Based on a true story from 1989 and the attempted murder and rape of a jogger in central park, New York City. 5 teenagers were wrongly accused and then sentenced for the crime.

Acting is fantastic and it tells the story extremely well. Watching this gives you all kinds of emotions. Heart breaking, anger, sadness, joy. I can't imagine what these poor kids went through, but i highly recommend watching this. Brilliantly made mini series that leaves a lump in your throat.

I also highly recommend watching the 2 hour documentary ' The Central Park 5 ' before watching the mini series. Now grown men in their late 40's, they tell their story in their own words. Utterly shocking.

Brilliant.

Makes you so angry though. The small kid who got the hard time in jail, real bad.

Yeah Korey Wise his name is; because he was 16 years old at the time he was tried as an adult and sent to federal prison. Absolutely gut wrenching. If that isn't bad enough, the fact he was only involved in the first place was because his friend Yusef was taken down to the station for questioning, so he went with him being a good friend knowing Yusef' mum would give him what for for leaving her son to go alone.

Truly sad stuff.

Like i said the 2 hour documentary ' Central park 5 ' shows you the original interviews the police conducted.

Yeah mate really hits hard, poor kid.

Great documenty though.

Watched stranger things series 2 with my Mrs as we struggle to find shows to watch together. Can’t remember a show that has increasingly got worse with every episode. The child acting is incredibly bad. Couldn’t watch the last episode for cringing.
My daughter who lives in the states and 2 of her friends got suspended from school for shaving their hair off, they had binged the show in summer.

Few weeks into first year of high school getting suspended and they were not allowed back until the hair had grown a sufficient length.:D

Great show though.

On a trip down Nostalgia Lane and currently on Season 4 of Upstairs Downstairs. Remember seeing odd bits of it in the 70’s when my mum watched it.
Some really silly episodes and maybe not quite as good as Downton Abbey. Still worth watching though and harks back to a time when people knew their place in society.
