Rings of Power flopped final 2 eps. If you have zero background knowledge you’ll love it, if you know even a little bit, you’ll be fuming all day.

I just don't understand why they did what they did. They could have just followed the actual canon story.
Changing from source material seem popular this days, they did the same to Witcher. Too many bad TV writers and showrunners who take source material (like books) and try to add their "own" little thing simply to get noticed or to generate controversy.
