Goes down hill after season 1 unfortunately, albeit I found Season 4 with Jodie Foster to be decent.

Yeah I’ve heard that, I’m not gonna bother with the others. Haven’t got the attention span for detective type shows with with 4/5 seasons for some reason

They’re all unrelated and each is a single series. Didn’t mind 3 either but is very slow.

A few plot holes but Black Doves is worth a watch.

Can`t stand Keira Knightley.

She`s one of the most overrated actors on the planet ( imo )

Yeah I agree, but I think it falls between 2 stools, can't make it's mind up if it is a zany spy comedy, or a serious thriller.

That was absolutely dreadful.

Watching The Day of the Jackal at the moment, the book was terrific and though the story line is pretty good, whoever cast Eddie Redmayne and that Lashana Lynch as the main leads? awful actors, also his character is supposed to be the best assassin in the world but he's a bit mr bean in it, dropping clangers and leaving trails all over the place.

I think the best way to approach the TV series, is to view it as a complete separate entity to the book and the film.

Just treat it as entertainment and nothing more.

its quite entertaining but i wanted the MI6 girl to die the whole series, shes just as evil as the jackal.

Got one episode in and my Wife lost interest so it went off. I'm on the fence as to whether I try episode 2 but I'm swaying towards not bothering.

It plods a bit to start with a feels very much like something that BBC2 / Channel 4 would do, but the last two episodes are extremely powerful, dealing with the hunt for the people the IRA had executed as informers “ The Disappeared “

Maxine Peake is outstanding, as Dolours Price.

Gerry Adams doesn’t come out of it well.

Our very own Josh Finan ( Marco the smsckhead in the Responder ) plays a young Gerry Adams very well too.

Good lad. TD season 1 is probably the best single season of anything ever. The rest are bad to meh

5 eps into True Detective, took me a bit to get into it but loving it now and can’t turn it off. MM and Harrelson at their best here

Nothing comes close to the first TD, it’s perfect.
