It`s become a ritual with me now, where I watch it at least once every year, just to remind myself how good it really is.

My eldest lad had run out of stuff to watch, so I put him onto it.

Bearing in mind he`s eighteen and has less of an attention span than @matty1878, he watched the whole lot in one go and stated it was one of the best things he`d ever seen.

I effed up showing it to my missus. We live quite far away so we've had to watch it sporadically together and she just isn't hooked. I know she'd love it if I just told her to watch it solo in one go.

It plods a bit to start with a feels very much like something that BBC2 / Channel 4 would do, but the last two episodes are extremely powerful, dealing with the hunt for the people the IRA had executed as informers “ The Disappeared “

Maxine Peake is outstanding, as Dolours Price.

Gerry Adams doesn’t come out of it well.

Our very own Josh Finan ( Marco the smsckhead in the Responder ) plays a young Gerry Adams very well too.

Really enjoyed the book this was based upon.
