TV Series

Did I just read the word DUBBED???
I usually watch shows with subtitles first and then will watch the dubbed version after - different experiences watching with both. Done it the other way round though as my partner prefers watching it dubbed so doesn’t have to focus as much.

If it’s something I’m really interested in I’ll watch it with subtitles. Shogun for example. Squid Game is a “fun” show though so watched it with the dubbing as I was often watching it with other stuff going on. Wonder whether that terrible rapper character would have been better in the original Korean though? In the dubbed version he was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen on screen

Easy on the eyes but I'd rather it was more historically accurate rather than shoehorning in a fictional female to make it less of a boy's show.
It does nail it's nonsensical colours to the mast pretty clearly. Like I don't really care about the gender composition of the Italian resistance. The lady is dressed fantastically and that's good. Style over substance is no bad thing. The Gentlemen was similar.

It's entertaining fare however it's historical fiction with the emphasis very clearly on fiction.

The nun scenario was especially ridiculous.

Also I don't think The Gentleman presented itself as based on actual events.

I enjoyed it but adding redundant characters to fill a gender quota is not for me. Would happily watch a show based around female resistance fighters though.
